So, we're starting a blo- ... hello? Are you still there?

Do people even read blogs anymore? What do we have to say anyways? And who cares?

Honestly, we don't know. But we do know this:

1) Connection is our currency. If the pandemic taught us anything it was that our biggest joy is connecting with people, telling stories and using our platform to help other people tell their stories. In the height of our butter tart company, we used to joke that our line ups were so long because we were over-sharers, which, for sure, was true, however they were also long because we were genuinely making friendships. Sure, we'd get chit-chatty but we always held space for what you had to say. It was a conversation (and we also made a darn good butter tart). So if this blog could continue that conversation and live in a space outside of social media (where let's be honest, can feel kinda like a gross place), we're in!

2) We need a junk drawer. Aka- a place that catches all of our stuff (which by the way, usually holds more treasure than junk ie) lipgloss, quarters, that rando hair elastic). We are two busy women; moms, entrepreneurs, sisters, actors, writers, bakers, busy beavers * with A LOT of ideas. We figure having a collective space where we can ask questions, ponder, share recipes and try on weird eyeshadow, will be a good thing.

3) Our voice is important. This still feels like an awkward thing to say, particularly after a couple of hard years with health issues where our need to be quiet was more important. But during that difficult time we learned that if you have joy, love, kindness, empathy in your heart, we need to hear more from you. Not less. And we need to hear from you now.

So hello world. We're glad to be here.

* Busy beavers was the name I (Jean) wanted to call our production company. Rach vehemently disagreed.
